Sinaimountain - Outside Sharm el Sheikh
Egypt holds some of finest historical and natural attractions around the world, which attracts many of the tourists towards it and the Sinai Mountain, is one of those. Sinai Mountain comes after Mount St. Catherine in terms of height and is the second largest mountain peak in Sinai Peninsula, Egypt. Sinai Mountain is also known by many other names as well and those are Mount Musa, or Mount Horeb or Moses Mountain or Gebel Musa. Sinai Mountain is about 2,285 meter high and is near Ras Sasafeh.
Sinai Mountain is called Moses Mountain because of its religious history and being the pilgrimage destination. It is said that god spoke to Moses here at Sinai Mountain and since then it has been the major attraction for the tourists coming to Egypt and holds a great religious spot in the hearts and minds of the locals and tourists of Egypt.
There is a small Chapel on the peak of Sinai Mountain and is dedicated to Holy Trinity. The chapel is named Burning Bush, and was built in 1934 on the ruins of ancient 16th century church. It is said that the chapel holds the rock from which God created the table of law. This attracts a lot of religious tourists coming to Egypt.
Tourist’s loves to climb the Mountain Sinai and if you too are planning for it then keep in mind that, to climb the 7.498-foot peak takes about 3hours to climb. After this there is a stairway of about 4,000 steps. So if you should evaluate your physical condition before deciding to climb it on your own. The stunning sunrise and Sunset view are the other reasons which makes people to climb the mountain on their own and when you are going for it don’t forget to bring good Hiking shoes and plenty of water with you. The water is must and you must not forget it at any cost.
Though there are other ways as well to climb Mount Sinai and that is with the help of camels or by road trips. Both of the ways can be arranged with the help of your hotel and many of the people prefers this way of reaching the peak of Sinai Mountain. Spending a night there and watching an early sunrise is a common thing which people visiting the Sinai mountain do and it surely is a once in a life time opportunity.

If you like scuba diving or snorkeling then Sharm el Naga is the place to visit. Just a couple of miles outside Hurghada and the beach and reef is superb for us diving/scuba diving beginners..
