Diving in the Mediterranean
Diving in the Mediterranean is a very pleasing experience, particularly, snorkel diving unfolds ones knowledge to a whole novel world underneath the surface of this exquisite pristine sea. Diving conditions are favorable for the novices as the Mediterranean is actually nothing more than an outsized pool, but the cherishes that it contains include several intriguing dives for the most experienced veterans of the sport, some of them are adventurous even to the advanced divers. Underwater wracks of buildings and ships offer a perfect home for innumerable spectacular subaquatic life; unparalleled submerged landscapes and caves are only approachable to divers. During vacation, Akamas Peninsular Cyprus in the Mediterranean is the best location to indulge or discover warmth in this elevating sport, and there are abundant of experts available on the island to safely lead you to these magical and secret submerged venues. Mediterranean has almost no currents or tides and the visibility can range from 30 to 40 meters and depth ranging from 1 meter to 1000. The fish life hinges upon the region one dive in, acquiring an experienced guide who recognize the area to get shoals of fish can make the adventure more fascinating. The submerged scenery is splendid, with gulleys, walls, ravines and a couple of sites contribute themselves to submerged DPV or scooters.
Green and Loggerhead Turtles inhabiting on the Akamas and bordering beaches at specific time of the year are protected species (recent survey reports increase in their number). At Lara Bay , a sanctuary has been established and all dive centers endeavors to protect these rare species as well as report activities near the sanctuary. These dive locations can be reached either by boat or shore. Dive safaris are organized by some dive centers, a 4 x 4 trip to the dive location and a picnic meal during the surface interval. The center also coordinates snorkeling trips and coaching for both BSAC and PADI, air fills and servicing.
Manijin Island is another excellent scuba diving spot. The spellbinding dives in the midst of astonishing wreck of large vessels can be felt in the islands of Ireland and United Kingdom . Ireland has many prominent diving sites, such as Stag Rocks, Fastnet Rock etc. Yongola of the Southern Queensland is a premier place for wreck sites. United Kingdoms spectacular wreckage diving sites are the Scapa Flow in the Orkney Islands , Oban Island on the west coast of Scotland , etc.
Australia has diving season all the year. The Queensland coast and Great Barrier Reef are epitomes of diving spots. The surprises of bionetwork underwater can be explored and admired at the popular site like the Heron Island Bommie, Tasmania, the Castle of Southern Queensland; Fiji, Lomaivitis, Papua New Guinea of Pacific Islands and Suzi Bommie; The Shark Point (Thailand), the Tubbataha Reefs (Philippines) in Asia.
Remember, like trees have leaves shedding season, flowers have blooming season; similarly all these diving sites have specific timing during the year. So better collect information before visiting these sites.

If you like scuba diving or snorkeling then Sharm el Naga is the place to visit. Just a couple of miles outside Hurghada and the beach and reef is superb for us diving/scuba diving beginners..
